Funding provided by government (including MPI) to SPCA

Dear Ministry for Primary Industries,

Could details of funding provided to the New Zealand SPCA in 2019 (including the funding agreement) be obtained?

This funding is provided under section 5.1 of the Memorandum of Understanding between The Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) and the Royal New Zealand Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Incorporated (SPCA), dated May 2019;

"MPI may provide funding to support SPCA's compliance and enforcement functions under the Act. The details relating to such funding, including arrangements for MPI to verify how it has been applied, will be included in a separate agreement."

I also request details for funding (alongside funding agreements), for the years 2017 and 2018 under the previous Memorandum of Understanding (dated December 2010), which provides funding for the training of inspectors alongside the MAF/RNZSPCA Funding Agreement (section 76):

"Matters relating to the provision of annual Government funding to support the RNZSPCA in its animal welfare activities are covered by the terms of the relevant funding agreements."
