From: Lucia

Dear Michael Wood,

are you able to advise how long does it take a penalize someone that had overstayed in the past years in New Zealand please?
AND Are you able to advise how these type of cases are assess please? based on the supported information submitted together with their application please?

- 2 nieces applied for General visitor visa decline instantly
- First applied in 2019 - decline no questions asks?
- 2nd visa applied 1st Oct 2022 application #s :A21269920 & A36701899 - decline no questions ask by Immigration on why they were overstayed before
They left NZ voluntarily

I believe my nieces' visa application had been and has been unfairly treated here in NZ and also in Samoa. They only want to come to NZ to attend their aunty's surprised 50th birthday on the 23/12/2022 and it will also be a good gathering for our family as we have not seen each other over the past 3 years because of COVID

FYI: they applied for A Limited Visa - yet still no answer up till now

I am asking your goodself to please help and re-assess their application they are not criminals. Also they were only 14 and 8 years when they return to Samoa doesn't that count for anything they were babies when they left. and I know we all have children and we want to do good by them.

Yours faithfully,
Lucia
