Representatives for the NSA
B M made this Official Information request to Minister Responsible for the GCSB
The request was refused by Minister Responsible for the GCSB.
From: B M
Dear Minister Responsible for the GCSB,
====
It is reported that NSA representatives operate in each of the NSA's Second Party countries. These people are called Special US Liaison Officers.
*Is there a Special US Liaison Officer operating in New Zealand?
*If so:
- What is their purpose?
- How long has this position existed?
====
Further, Second Party countries reportedly have representatives based in the United States. In the case of New Zealand, this person would be called a Special New Zealand Liaison Officer.
*Does a Special New Zealand Liaison Officer operate inside the United States?
*If so:
- What is their purpose?
- How long has this position existed?
Yours faithfully,
[B M]
