ANPR at Covid Checkpoints? - Operation HIKING Documents (Northland COVID Women)
M B made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police
The request was successful.
From: M B
Dear New Zealand Police,
In the recent OIA response related to Operation HIKING, page 480 paragraph 8 it is stated that the women "returned to Auckland from Northland, going through the northern checkpoint ANPR at 9:31pm on 8 October". "Northern checkpoint" is used to refer to a Covid Checkpoint on page 65.
OIA response available at: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/....
1. Did New Zealand Police have mobile ANPR units deployed at COVID-19 checkpoints?
2. Is page 480 paragraph 8 of the above OIA response related to a COVID-19 checkpoint? If not, which ANPR location is it referring to?
Yours faithfully,
Mason.
