I write concerning your Official Information Act request of 18 September 2022.

In our view, it would have been necessary to transfer your request under section 14 of the OIA to NZ Police because the information you requested is believed to be held by that agency. However, we are aware that NZ Police are providing a response to these questions following a request you submitted to them on 18 September 2022. Therefore, we have not transferred your request to NZ Police. We do not hold any additional relevant information that is not already held by NZ Police. You will hear from them in due course.

If you are not satisfied with this decision, you have the right to complain to the Ombudsman under section 28(3) of the OIA. You can contact the Ombudsman by emailing [email address].
