Standard operating procedure
Mr Ge made this Official Information request to Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment
The request was successful.
From: Mr Ge
Dear Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment,
Could you please release Immigration NZ's "Standard Operating Procedure"?
Yours faithfully,
Mr Ge
From: INZ OIAs
Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment
Kia ora
Thank you for your email of 11 June 2022 requesting the following under
the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
Could you please release Immigration NZ's "Standard Operating Procedure"?
The request is broad in scope, Immigration New Zealand (INZ) Standard
Operating Procedures (SOPs) are very broad and cover many aspects of visa
processing. Further to this SOPs are stored on a web based system so to
provide all SOPs would require opening and printing every web page.
It appears likely that your original request will need to be clarified to
enable us to respond. Can you narrow your request to a specific aspect of
SOPs?
Please note, any clarification or amendment of a request may be considered
to be a new request for the purpose of calculating the maximum statutory
timeframe for response—see section 15(1AA) of the Official Information
Act.
Ngâ Mihi,
Emma

Dear INZ OIAs,
Thank you for following up on my request.
I'm interested in the section(s) in SOPs on refugee related matters, ideally all the contents that could range from selecting the quota all the way to granting residency.
Please feel free to let me know any further questions. Thanks.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Ge

Dear INZ OIAs,
Thank you very much for the redacted SOPs.
The "DRAFT" watermark actually has blocked so many words on every page, which makes it unable to read. Could you please adjust the watermark to make it reader friendly?
Yours sincerely,
Mr Ge

Dear INZ OIAs,
Can I please follow up on my reply to your redacted proactive release last month since I haven't got further response from you for a while - regarding the attached document being unable to read.
I want to stress again that the "DRAFT" watermarks in the redacted document have messed up the texts behind it on every page.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Ge
