Good Morning, Eloise

 

I am responding on behalf of the University to your recent OIA request, in
which you have asked for the following information:

 

 1. The total number of students enrolled and registered under disability
services with the university.

To date, 486 students are registered with Disability Services and enrolled
in study in 2022.

 

 1. If possible, a break-down of the above according to undergraduate and
postgraduate enrolments.

387 are undergraduate and 99 are postgraduate. For these purposes,
students enrolled in bachelor's programmes with honours years have been
counted as undergraduate.

 

 1. If collected by the University, the number of students identifying as
disable/experiencing disability when enrolling who are not registered
with disability services.

During admission, the University asks students the non-compulsory
question, "Do you live with the effects of a significant injury, long term
illness or disability?".

In 2022, there are 1391 students who responded 'yes' who are not
registered with Disability Services.

 

 1. If collected, the number of staff who identify as disabled.

Massey University have 28 staff who have self-declared disabilities as
part of their initial job applications.
