Design for road crossings as part of NL2A works

J Turner made this Official Information request to Auckland Transport

The request was successful.

From: J Turner

Dear Auckland Transport,

I am writing to request information regarding the design of road crossings as part of the New Lynn to Avondale Shared Path construction.

I request the design process and any minutes related to decisions to not make St Judes Road and Veronica Street either signalised crossings or to put in a raised crossing, as well as why Chalmers Street has not been made an official crossing, but a speed bump was installed.

I would also like to see a breakdown of the total cost of the project to help understand which elements of the project cost the most, and whether any of the money could have been spent on improving pedestrian and cycle safety at the above road crossings.

Yours faithfully,

J Turner
