I refer to your request of 13 May 2022. The information requested for 2020
and 2021 is provided in the attached document. We have interpreted your
request for statistics about the number of students who “dropped out” as
relating to those students who are no longer active in the BE(Hons),
because this is the most helpful information for your query. However, some
of the students who have not been active in their programme for one or two
semesters may later resume their studies (e.g. they have taken a “gap
year”). You should also note that structural engineering was not offered
as a specialization in 2020.

 

The requested information about students who have “dropped out” for 2022
does not yet exist, as Semester One 2022 is still in progress. This part
of your request is refused under section 18(g) of the OIA.

 

You have the right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman if you are
dissatisfied with this response.
