to respond to your request under section 15A of the Official Information
Act 1982 (the Act) as further research, collation and consultation is
required.

Act) to the Ministry of Health (the Ministry) on 13 May 2022 for
information relating to Hospitalization Statistics broken down by
Vaccination Status. You specifically requested:

The Ministry has decided under section 15 of the Official Information Act
1982 to grant your request; however more time is required to
administratively process the information for release. We will provide this
information to you by 29 July 2022, and earlier if possible.     

We publish details about every person with COVID-19 (confirmed or
probable) in a downloadable spreadsheet. For privacy reasons, this data
only includes:  

o Date potential case was notified 
o Sex of case 
o Age group of case 
o DHB where the case lives - listed as "Managed isolation & quarantine"
for border cases 
o If the case is related to overseas travel 

 

This data covers all cases from 26 February 2020 to 5 July 2022 and is
available from the [1]Ministry's COVID-19 Data GitHub repository. 

 Under section 28(3) of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman
to review any decisions made under this request. The Ombudsman may be
