Vaccination requirements for travel to New Zealand — Scientific evidence.
Maxwell made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Maxwell to read a recent response and update the status.
From: Maxwell
Dear Ministry of Health,
I write as a New Zealand citizen.
The current advice for NZ vaccine requirements to enter as a NZ citizen listed on the Unite against Covid-19 website states:
----------------------------
You do not need to have proof of vaccination if you:
- are a New Zealand citizen. However, New Zealanders who do not have proof of vaccination must enter managed isolation and quarantine (MIQ)
Source: https://covid19.govt.nz/international-tr....
----------------------------
Given the changing nature of Covid-19 and the community spread of Omicron amongst citizens of every vaccine status*. Can I please request all relevant scientific evidence/rationale correspondence which contributed to enabling this specific requirement?
* MOH cases as at 8 Mar 2022:
No dose: 3.6%
Ineligible: 14.4%
Partially vaccinated: 1.1%
Fully vaccinated > 7 days: 46.4%
Boosted > 7 days: 34.5%
Yours faithfully,
Maxwell
