Trainee Intern Hours - final year medical student

Dear University of Auckland and Auckland Medical School,

Final year medical student are expected to learn on the job during their last year of medical placements. In preparation for the workforce, they are told to shadow and assist Junior doctors.

1) what are the expected number of hours per week is a trainee intern expected to be at hospital, on placement?
2) what is protection is provided to ensure placement hours don't violate nz labour laws?
3) what protection is in place to ensure final year medical students aren't exploited for labour, as they seek to get good grades/references?
4) junior doctors get rostered days off, especially if they work weekends and long days. Are final year medical students given the same protection?
5) what proportion of the $80k+ fees is used for medical students health and wellbeing?
6) what auditing of clinical supervisor in hosptials are done to ensure they are suitable/appropriate mentors?
7) what has been the trainee intern stipend amount over the last 10 years
8) what has the salary of the current head of medicine? What has been their salary over the last 10 years?
9) if not able to release above, what is the salary schedule of faculty of medical and health science academic staff over past 10 years
