Provide information regarding PCR tests if CDC have withdrawn emergency use for them.

Will Maynard made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health

The request was partially successful.

From: Will Maynard

Dear Ministry of Health,

Please provide where you get your information and the evidence from in regards to the PCR testing for medsafe to make a decision on its emergency use.

If this is the CDC or WHO why have we not withdrawn our Emergency use for them based on the attached article? (Attached article confirms they are not accurate eg false positives)

https://www.cdc.gov/csels/dls/locs/2021/...

Yours faithfully,

Will Maynard

Kia ora Will,

Thank you for your request for official information received on 10 January
2022 for:

"Please provide where you get your information and the evidence from in
regards to the PCR testing for medsafe to make a decision on its emergency
use.

If this is the CDC or WHO why have we not withdrawn our Emergency use for
them based on the attached article? (Attached article confirms they are
not accurate eg false positives)”

A secondary request for official information was received on 10 January
2022 for:

“Please provide a list of ingredients/chemicals for the pfizer covid19
vaccines for adults.

Please also provide a seperate list for the pfizer covid19 vaccine for
ages 5 to 11 year Olds.

Please also specifically advise if the age 5 to 11 year old pfizer covid19
vaccine contains tromethamine instead of phosphate buffered saline.

If this does contain tromethamine please provide evidence why we are
injecting this intermuscular and it is required within the vaccine for 5
to 11 year olds? FDA website states it must be injected only intravenously
and no where else as this WILL cause blood clots leading to heart attacks.

All these are legally required for medsafe to make a decision etc.”

The Ministry of Health has consolidated your requests under reference
number: H202200234.

As required under the Official Information Act 1982, the Ministry will
endeavour to respond to your request no later than 14 February 2022, being
20 working days after the day your first request was received.

Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic response, the Ministry is experiencing
significantly higher volumes of queries and requests for information. If
we are unable to respond to your request within this time frame, we will
notify you of an extension of that time frame.

If you have any queries related to this request, please do not hesitate to
get in touch.

Ngâ mihi

Kia ora Will,

Thank you for your requests under the Official Information Act 1982 (the
Act) to the Ministry of Health (the Ministry) on 10 January 2022. The
Ministry has consolidated both your requests under reference
number: H202200234. You asked:

Please provide where you get your information and the evidence from in
regards to the PCR testing for medsafe to make a decision on its emergency
use. If this is the CDC or WHO why have we not withdrawn our Emergency use
for them based on the attached article? (Attached article confirms they
are not accurate eg false positives).

The withdrawal of the PCR test developed by the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC) does not affect the PCR testing undertaken by
New Zealand diagnostic laboratories. The CDC’s RT-PCR test was only
looking for SARS-CoV-2 and ignoring genetic material from other viruses.
The changes to testing procedures were to encourage labs to switch to
tests that can look for flu viruses at the same time. The CDC’s
announcement about the changes to RT-PCR testing for COVID-19 can be found
at: [1]www.cdc.gov/csels/dls/locs/2021/07-21-2021-lab-alert-Changes_CDC_RT-PCR_SARS-CoV-2_Testing_1.html.

Please provide a list of ingredients/chemicals for the pfizer covid19
vaccines for adults.

FDA website states it must be injected only intravenously
and no where else as this WILL cause blood clots leading to heart
attacks.

Information regarding the ingredients of these vaccines is publicly
available in the New Zealand data sheets:
[2]www.medsafe.govt.nz/COVID-19/status-of-applications.asp.

The approved administration instructions for this vaccine, including the
route of administration, are described in the data sheet and are supported
by relevant clinical data. It is not possible to comment on the website
you reference without a specific address. However, it is possible that the
information refers to medicines that contain tromethamine as the active
ingredient and in much higher quantities that is present in Comirnaty.

I trust this fulfils your request. Under section 28(3) of the Act you have
the right to ask the Ombudsman to review any decisions made under this
request. The Ombudsman may be contacted by email at:
[3][email address] or by calling 0800 802 602.

Please note that this response, with your personal details removed, may be
published on the Ministry of Health website at:

So they're going into the muscle with a Tris buffer? The data provided does not answer the question.

In a previous OIA request it was stated that the government etc do not know what the assays used in NZ test for as this is commercially sensitive information. They further went on to say that the assays cannot detect live virus rather they test for viral genetic material (again from a source undefined due commercially sensitive) and the only way they can find out the type of corona virus is through genetic sequencing which is not performed for all cases.
So what we have here is tests that are being developed to test for all flu viruses that cannot define themselves what virus the genetic material is from.
