C A Moses made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Ministry of Health should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: C A Moses

Dear Ministry of Health,
How many current Members of Parliament are fully vaccinated according to the official definition?

And how do you expect the Ministry of Health to know that? It's like asking them how many members of the Ponsonby Rugby Club are vaccinated.

@Rodgers Do you think they're just guessing what information to put on your vaccine pass?

i don't know what you are asking here?

The MoH will be using a person's health record (keyed on their NHI) to determine whether they are vaccinated or not for the vaccine pass. You can read what data is held on a person by MoH here: https://www.health.govt.nz/our-work/heal...

You will note it does *not* record a person's occupation or employer.

Hence your question to MoH on whether all MPs are vaccinated is pointless. They don't know.

@Rodgers Good try. Read my question in reference to public servants. I await their response.

Your question was:
"How many current Members of Parliament are fully vaccinated according to the official definition?"

Again I would ask how would MoH know that?

C A Moses left an annotation ()

@Rodgers Again, I'll post the same link: https://www.msn.com/en-nz/news/national/... Read it. WOCA not only wants the number of every unvaccinated Maori from the MOH but they want all the data. That's how I know. In fact, let me quote the relevant part from the article for you: "It wants individual data for every unvaccinated Māori." Clear? Yet I'm just wanting the numbers, not the private information. The link you sent was unhelpful - if that's what you're trying to be.

The MoH health record databases will cover a person's ethnicity and therefore the Whānau Ora requests (rightly or wrongly) are achievable.

Your request calls for a parameter (employer) that is not recorded on a person's health record therefore the request is not achievable.

While ACC records will hold a person's occupation/employer the link I provided states "The Ministry of Health does not hold .... information relating to ACC. You will need to contact .. ACC directly for this information."

Let's wait and see if I'm right and wrong shall we?

@Rodgers FYI I make this submission for the benefit of public interest and within s4(a) and s4(c) of the OIA 1982

The parameter you mentioned would be something like "elected public official', not 'employee". Members of Parliament are not employed in a legal sense. Guess who they work for?

At least you're on track with the ethical issues surrounding an incorporated body wanting private information they have no authority to receive, My submission foregoes the sharing of any private information and allows the member(s) to retain anonymity.

You're obviously trolling and busy-bodying for a reason. Allowing agenda-driven annotation is vexatious and unhelpful.

Hey I have an idea: let's just wait and see?

Take care,
