Statistics on children of CSC holders, by age and residence

Laydan Mortensen made this Official Information request to Ministry of Social Development

Ministry of Social Development did not have the information requested.

From: Laydan Mortensen

Dear Ministry of Social Development,

Can I please obtain the latest available statistics on the number of children dependent on Community Services Card holders? Can these statistics be broken down in a two-way table by the child’s age group (0-4, 5-12, 13-15, and 16-17 if possible) and the territorial authority or Auckland Council local board in which they live.

Yours faithfully,

Laydan Mortensen

Dear OIA_Requests (MSD),

Given the following:
* you hold the number of children dependent on a recipient of a main benefit by age (see http://statistical-report-2012.msd.govt....), and possibly by territorial authority and Auckland Council local board
* most of the main benefits entitle beneficiaries to a Community Services Card.

Is it possible to infer a minimum number of children dependent on Community Services Card holders?

Yours sincerely,

Laydan Mortensen
