Disclosure of UAP Sightings and Reports in Controlled Airspace
C. W. Semmens made this Official Information request to Airways Corporation of New Zealand Limited
The request was refused by Airways Corporation of New Zealand Limited.
From: C. W. Semmens
Dear Airways Corporation of New Zealand Limited,
I am writing to you to request for information on a topic that has gained heavy traction in modern times, Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon.
As a concerned and curious citizen of New Zealand, I am requesting specifically for information on any reported, recorded, or recalled incidents that have taken place in the 30 million square kilometres of air space managed by Airways Corporation of New Zealand not limited to documentary material, written documents, reports, memoranda, letters, notes, emails and draft documents; non-written documentary information, such as material stored on or generated by computers, including databases, and video or tape recordings that share any of the following characteristics:
UAP that have interrupted, or caused an error in the operation of any aircraft carrying civilians.
Describe witnessing a UAP of any of the following characteristics;
- Going from stationary to hypersonic velocities instantaneously.
- Rapidly gaining or losing altitude at speeds unobtainable by public technologies.
- Objects emerging from under the sea.
- Objects that resemble a “Tic-Tac” or cylinder.
- Objects that resemble a "Flying saucer”.
- Objects that resemble a squared circle.
- Making advanced, or intelligent movements that appear self-directed such as but not limited to:
a) Travelling in formation,
b) Tailing or intercepting identified aircraft.
- Show any knowledge of flight paths.
I believe this information is of incredible importance to the public. As we are currently seeing in the United States, this phenomenon has transcended from the conversations of individual "crazies" claiming to see lights in the sky, to confirmed visual and radar confirmations of UAP in controlled airspace outmaneuvering some of the most advanced fighter jets in their military's possession.
This is an opportunity for Airways Corporation of New Zealand to disclose information on a subject that the public has held an interest in for many years.
I eagerly await your response
Yours faithfully,
- C. W. Semmens
