Request for all Legal Opinions Relating to Vaccine Passports

Chris McCashin made this Official Information request to Jacinda Ardern

Jacinda Ardern did not have the information requested.

From: Chris McCashin

Dear Jacinda Ardern,

Can you please provide all of the legal opinions that have been completed on behalf of the government relating to the implementation of vaccine passports

- Specifically any opinions that say Vaccine Passports do not contravene the Bill of Rights and Human Rights Act
- Also specifically any and all opinions saying that Public Health trumps the Bill of Rights and Human Rights in New Zealand - on the off chance you have found one?!

We now know that the vaccine does not prevent transmission or stop people from getting the virus and there are conflicting reports that the efficacy of the vaccine might be six months only - nobody knows and we definitely don't get this information from the Ministry of Health who contradict and provide misinformation on a daily basis. Given that reason apart from being an administrative burden on business there really is no point for these as a card in no way proves if a person has antibodies and so they are pointless.

They are therefore only a form of a social credit system whereby the passport will be used to exclude people from society and implement active discrimination. How is this not like China's system?

Please provide evidence as to how this isn't active discrimination?
Please also provide comment as to how this fits in with the Labour mantra of "being kind".

Yours faithfully,
Chris

Transfers have to happen within 10 working days of an agency receiving a request. The PM's office has transgressed the OIA here.

Transfer windows notwithstanding, the request will probably be refused on the grounds of legal privilege.

Dear OIA,

Can you also provide all consultation/documents as to whether vaccine passports/covid-19 traffic light system complied with the Human Rights Act and Bill of Rights.
Either the prime minister or Crown Law?
Is the PM also aware Gibraltor 100% vaccinated has seen cases surge. Is that not enough evidence to suggest this vaccine is ineffective?

Yours sincerely,

Chris McCashin

I cannot see how information about the legality of legislation and mandates is not public knowledge. Clearly this Government has its own private laws it wishes to enforce.
