Kia ora Hemant,
Thank you for your request for information which asks:
Where can I find a list of targets for visa processing times? I.e. metrics
the department judges itself on, for different types of visas.
Available on the Immigration New Zealand website are the average
processing times for different visa types, available at the following
link: [1]Immigration New Zealand - How long it takes to process a visa
application
This link provides information on how many calendar days it has taken us
to process applications for our most common visas in the 3 months to 1
September 2021. For applications that take more than 90 days we have
rounded that number to the nearest month. For example, if applications
take 110 days, we say it takes 4 months.
Please advise if this information available on the Immigration New Zealand
website answers your request.
If the information does not answer your request, please provide us with
the specific information and visa types which you would like the
processing times for.
Ngā mihi,
Nicole Jensen (she/her)

Dear Nicole Jensen,
That information is for "acutals" - i.e. actually how long it took for you to process visa applications - what I am after is the targets that Immigration is aiming towards.
Yours sincerely,
Hemant
From: Nicole Jensen
Dear Hemant
Thank you for your response.
Immigration New Zealand (INZ) can provide information on processing times for previously decided applications. INZ measures average processing times in calendar days from the time an application is accepted for processing, to when the application has been finalised and completed in the Immigration Application Management System.
If your request is for INZ's targets for processing times for different visa types (that INZ is aiming towards), it is likely your request would be refused under section 18(e) of the Official Information Act as the information does not exist.
Please let us know how you would like us to proceed with your request.
Ngā mihi,
Nicole Jensen

Dear Nicole Jensen,
If there are no targets, the the request can be closed. Do you know who would responsible for setting processing time targets?
Yours sincerely,
Hemant
From: Nicole Jensen
Kia ora Hemant,
We have now closed request DOIA 2122-0616 as per your previous email.
INZ reports on processing times which can be found on our website at the following link:
https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zeal...
These are not targets but reporting on the average time it is currently taking to process applications across a range of application types. If targets where to be introduced then INZ managers would be accountable for leading this process.
