I would like to see the following information:

1) Total number of ONSHORE, PRIORITY talent (accredited employer) resident visa applications received for each month from August 2020 to August 2021.

2) The average time (in days) for an application in the ONSHORE, PRIORITY talent (accredited employer) resident visa applications to be granted, for each month from August 2020 to August 2021.

3) The number of applications in the ONSHORE, PRIORITY talent (accredited employer) resident visa applications that are not finalized after 6 months (168 days) from the date they were submitted, for each month from March 2020 to March 2021.

4) Confirmation on the current criteria to be accepted in the PRIORITY queue for talent (accredited employer) resident visa applicants.

Thank you for your email of 16 August 2021 to the Ministry of Business
Innovation and Employment (the Ministry) requesting under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the OIA):

 

“1) Total number of ONSHORE, PRIORITY talent (accredited employer)
resident visa applications received for each month from August 2020 to
August 2021.

2) The average time (in days) for an application in the ONSHORE, PRIORITY
talent (accredited employer) resident visa applications to be granted, for
each month from August 2020 to August 2021.

3) The number of applications in the ONSHORE, PRIORITY talent (accredited
employer) resident visa applications that are not finalized after 6 months
(168 days) from the date they were submitted, for each month from March
2020 to March 2021.

4) Confirmation on the current criteria to be accepted in the PRIORITY
queue for talent (accredited employer) resident visa applicants.”

The Ministry has decided to extend the period of time available to respond
to your request under section 15A(1)(b) of the Act as further consultation
is required.”

You can now expect a response to your request on or before 17 September
2021.

 

You have the right, under section 28 of the Act, to ask the Ombudsman to
review my decision to extend the time available to respond to your
request.
