Dear Rachel,

 

 

Thanks for your email of 2 August 2021 requesting under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following:

 

Total number of MIQ vouchers issued

Total number of MIQ vouchers presented or used (rooms were occupied)

 

After consulting our data management team, we have determined that the
information to part two of your request would need some clarification.

 

The total number of MIQ vouchers issued from the Managed Isolation and
Allocation System (MIAS) is not comparable to the total number of MIQ
vouchers presented or used derived from rooms occupied in the data system.
There are emergency voucher allocations which are not accounted for by the
MIAS data system.

 

Due to the complex nature of this data, we cannot track MIAS vouchers from
being issued to being used but we can track rooms from being booked to
being used.

 

Our recommendation:

Keeping the above points in mind, our data analysts suggested if your
request could be revised to THE following instead:

 

 1. The total number of rooms booked using MIQ vouchers
 2. The total number of rooms occupied

 

This revision will enable us to provide you with the retrievable
information rather than us refusing THIS PART OF your request in full.

We would appreciate if you could consider the revised request and confirm
the same by COB 23 August 2021.
