Dear Andrew Little,

The Ministry of Health, in the COVID-19 update – 9th June, 2021, announced that pregnant people will now be routinely offered the Pfizer mRNA vaccine at any stage of pregnancy, and that data from around the world has shown that there are no additional concerns around vaccinating pregnant people with the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine.

Prior to this my understanding is that vaccinators - as part of their online education course - were advised that clinical studies had not investigated the mRNA vaccine in pregnancy and it was recommended to delay vaccination until after delivery if the pregnant woman was at low risk of exposure.

Following the changes in June to offer the Covid-19 vaccine to pregnant women at any stage of their pregnancy the education provided to Covid-19 vaccinators as part of their course, was updated. Therefore, my request is as follows;

1.Please provide me with the following content as added to the vaccinator education course;
a)Module 1 mRNA-CV and vaccination, Lesson mRNA-CV; Added pregnancy and mRNA-CV safety data and fact sheet.
