Great, thanks Jenna
Fantastic effort - thanks to everyone involved for taking the time to put this together!
Although it does not go back to 1975 (which was a big ask) - it does give us a good overview.
The total Waitangi Tribunal cost since 2003 including legal aid & tribunal expenses = $358,712,744
The total Treaty of Waitangi settlements = $2.272 billion
The total Department of Corrections cost for 2019/20 = $2.211 billion
Māori make up 52 percent of the prison population but only 16 percent of New Zealand's total population
The New Zealand Labour Party was formed in 1916
The New Zealand National Party was formed in 1936
Thanks again for the information - I really appreciate it!
Cheers - Micky
