1. Please provide the percentage survival rate for COVID-19 cases in New Zealand to date. That is, for people who contracted the disease, what is the official statistic for their chance of surviving COVID-19 based on how many survived the disease versus how many contracted the disease?
2. Please provide the average age of the people who have died from COVID-19 in New Zealand to date.

Thank you. Based on that data the chance of dying from COVID-19 in NZ as of April 12th is
1.01% (26/2574)
The chance of recovering/surviving is 94.79% (2440/2574)
There was only age group data available so I cannot calculate the average age of the deaths, but have contacted the ministry of health via email for that data.

If you use only data for completed cases you get:
Chance of dying - 1.05%
Chance of Recovering - 98.95%
