On 1 March 2021 you requested, under the Official Information Act 1982
(OIA), advice about:
1. The number of soldiers, and number of & type of equipment NZ has
committed to participation in Exercise Talisman Sabre in 2021, if any;
2. The estimated costs of NZDF participation and
3. What Covid-19 planning/risk assessment in relation to this exercise is
being done.
 
This is to inform you that, pursuant to section 15A(1)(b) of the OIA, the
consultations necessary  to make a decision on your request are such that
a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time
limit.
 
That time limit is, therefore, extended.  The extension will be for a
period of an additional five working days (that is, to Monday, 5 April
2021).
 
You retain a right to ask an Ombudsman to review the reason for this
extension.
