Thank you for your request for information under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA). I am writing to let you know that while we can identify how many resident visas were granted in 2020 to individuals who applied under the Skilled Migrant Category and held the position of Retail Manager (ANZSCO 142111), we are having difficulty determining how many of those individuals were working in Franchise Retail Stores.

It is not a requirement for the structure of the business to be recorded in a reportable format during the visa assessment. As a result we may need to refuse your request.

I am therefore writing to consult with you to see whether there were any particular Franchise Retail Stores you are interested in? If you are able to identify a particular Franchise Retail Store (or stores), I may be able to provide the number of resident visas that were granted in 2020 to individuals who applied under the Skilled Migrant Category and held the position of Retail Manager (ANZSCO 142111) in that/those particular store/s.

Alternatively I can provide the number of resident visas were granted in 2020 to individuals who applied under the Skilled Migrant Category and held the position of Retail Manager (ANZSCO 142111) without the Franchise Retail Store breakdown.

Please respond by Thursday 11 March. If I do not receive a response I will proceed with the request and may need to refuse it.

Kind regards

Ngā mihi
