Local dispute resolution panels will be overseen and administered by a
Chief Referee appointed by the Minister. Panels will have a mix of local
members and expert members from a central list. Panel members will be
appointed by the Chief Referee.

 

In addition to appointing panel members, the Chief Referee will have a
range of responsibilities. These will include filtering out complaints
that are trivial, vexatious or otherwise unsuited to the scheme, and
publishing anonymised case notes to consolidate and disseminate best
practice.

 

May I ask when you plan to call for public nomination to established the
panel and what is the term of reference of this panel. The pay rate for
community member and chief referee.

 

Have you appointed the chief referee already? if not, when you plan to do
it and when you plan to call for public nomination.

 

What is your timeline at the moment to implement this Local dispute
resolution panels? Would you start from any region first?
