Prisoner Incentive Framework
BAW Russell made this Official Information request to Department of Corrections
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for BAW Russell to read a recent response and update the status.
From: BAW Russell
Dear Department of Corrections,
I am seeking updated information from that provided in response to my December 2018 request. For the 2019/20 financial year can you please tell me:
* the total number of hours of activity undertaken at each payment level, broken down by the type of activity (e.g. how many hours at each payment level for employment, education, and rehabilitation respectively)
* the total number of hours paid at the unemployment rate
* the total money paid to prisoners under the framework
* the revenue earned by the Department from prisoner employment and other activities undertaken under the framework.
If you are unable to provide this for the entire financial year I am happy to accept results for four random weeks.
Yours faithfully,
BAW Russell

Indeed. And the fact that it's always for 20 days. And that there is never any discernible consultation undertaken. Given past experience it's best to wait until the conclusion of the request to complain to the Ombudsman unfortunately.

The Department of Corrections's apparent policy of abusing the Official Information Act's lack of a requirement that notices of extension must be sent as soon as reasonably practicable, in order to almost always send them at the last allowable moment like this, sure is frustrating.
