Dear HEIDARY, Fatemeh,

Does this mean the police are in the process of building a case to prosecute this individual for a false complaint which resulted in the Armed offenders being called out?

Yours sincerely,

Dear Mr Tim Russell,

Police were simply investigating into an allegation of an item that looked like a firearm at one of the residents in this complex of properties.
Mr Johns was cooperative with the Police and the matter was resolved without any issues.

This matter has been recorded into the Police System and there is to be no further investigation from this incident.

The Mt Roskill Community Police will assist the resident resolving some of the issues that seem to be affection some residents.

Kind regards,

Dear HEIDARY, Fatemeh,

Your reply is clearly rubbish. It seems the police are just being lazy in this case.

If the police response was to a report that stated "something that looked like a gun", then why were the Armed Offenders Squad and Police helicopter called out? That seems a rather extreme response, and more likely the kind of response to a report of someone being threatened with a firearm. Which is what the Armed Offenders commander told Mr Johns at the time. Mr Johns was accused of presenting a firearm and threatening the complainant with it. Police logs will clearly confirm that fact.

The individual who made the complaint (yes, we know who he is, despite your original refusal to say) has made several malicious calls previously, in an attempt to cause trouble. Mr Johns was in his house with a witness at the time this incident occurred, and this witness can confirm that Mr Johns did not go outside at any time, let alone with anything that looked like a firearm. How come the complainant has changed his story several times without question by the police investigators?

After the event, Kainga Ora were told that a white utility vehicle supposedly took off from the scene with the firearm. The direct threat with a gun, suddenly changed to "someone saw something that looked like a gun". No mention of any of that at the time. Have the police spoken to Mr Johns witness? Have the police spoken to Kainga Ora? Have the police spoken to any other residents who have been harassed and abused by this individual?

This is not just a simple error to be swept under the carpet, Mr Johns was at risk of being shot by the AOS. It would be expected that the police would take it seriously. It seems that this will need to be taken to a higher level. The response you have provided is a joke.

I want to know the name and service number of the officer who made the decision, that no further action was to be taken regarding this complaint. The callout was quite clearly malicious.

And the word you meant to use was "affecting", not "affection".

Yours sincerely,

Tim Russell
