Status of Parents Residency EOI

A KS made this Official Information request to Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment should have responded by now (details and exceptions). You can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: A KS

Dear Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment,

Please provide me the following information

3:-Count of new EOI's which have been submitted after 24th Feb 2020. If you can provide the count of persons that will be great too.

Dear Charmaine HO,

Thanks for your reply.

In your response to the question 4 Count of EOIs which had been withdrawn between 8th Oct and now, you mentioned that only 122 EOIs had been withdrawn.

However, in one of the older questions from June 2020, you had mentioned that between 8th Oct and 15th June 1850 EOIs ( 3145 applicants) were withdrawn.

Here's the link to that EOI response
https://fyi.org.nz/request/12769/respons...

However now you mentioned that only 122 EOIs had been withdrawn.

Could you please check again?

Yours sincerely,

A KS

Kia ora A KS,

Apologies for the delay, it appears that during the time period between your first request and second request, there was a change in methodology for capturing the data for withdrawals. It is understandable that you would like the methodology used to be the same in both requests so that you may compare the figures. We are working on updating the figure so that you may have comparative figures.
