The annual statistics provided by MPI show that 35 guinea pigs were used for research, testing and teaching purposes in 2018 by the University of Auckland.
Under the Official Information Act, I would like to request a copy of the approved application(s) made to your Animal Ethics Committee on the use of these 35 animals.

provide you with the documents requested, subject to some material being
withheld under the Official Information Act’s withholding grounds.
Unlabelled redactions in the documents are of personal information
withheld under sections 9(2)(a) and 9(2)(g)(ii) of the Act, to protect the
privacy of those persons and to protect them from harassment; otherwise
redactions will be labelled with the relevant withholding grounds. The
documents will be provided to you as soon as reasonably practicable; we
