Dear Mr Barnett,

 

I am writing to advise you of an extension of your LGOIMA request due date
to 15 July 2020.

 

We are working as quickly as possible to complete your request, however
there is a substantial amount of information to gather and to consider.

 

We are therefore extending the request under the following sections of
LGOIMA:

 

o Section 14(1)(a), that “the request is for a large quantity of
official information or necessitates a search through a large quantity
of information and meeting the original time limit would unreasonably
interfere with the operations of the local authority”, and
o Section 14(1)(b), that “consultations necessary to make a decision on
the request are such that a proper response to the request cannot
reasonably be made within the original time limit”.

 

If you disagree with this decision, you have the right to make a complaint
to the Ombudsman under section 27(3) of LGOIMA.

 

If we are able to provide you with the requested information earlier than
15 July, we will of course do this.
