Project titles and names principal investigators of all clinical trials funded since 1999
Andrew Jull made this Official Information request to Health Research Council of New Zealand
The request was successful.
From: Andrew Jull
Dear Health Research Council of New Zealand,
Please make available the research titles along with the names of the principal investigators of all randomised controlled trials funded, co-funded, or partly funded by the HRC either as programmes, projects, or feasibility grants, since the beginning of 1999 (or from the inception of the funding opportunity if the funding opportunity was not available from 1999).
The programme, project, and feasibility grant titles ie the names of clinical trials along with the names of the respective principal investigators have always been in the public domain either through the HRC's own announcements and/or through the annual reports of the ethics committees.
The intended purpose of this information is to support methodological research:
1. To identify changes in trial registration for HRC-funded trials over the last 20 years since public domain trials registers became available, and
2. To track publication of HRC-funded trials to ensure to determine by type of trial result (positive, null, negative) the rate and timing of publication.
The information would be ideally provided in a simple spreadsheet, but other means of data sharing could be discussed
Yours faithfully,
Andrew Jull
Professor
