Communication between Auckland District Health Board and the Ministry of Health about the provision of helicopter air ambulance services in the Northern Region

Shay McGuinness made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health

The request was refused by Ministry of Health.

From: Shay McGuinness

Dear Ministry of Health,

In response to your refusal to complete my prior request I am making a new request for substantially less information:

"Please provide all emails between the following
senior individuals in the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Auckland District
Health Board (ADHB) regarding the provision of helicopter air ambulance
services.

ADHB
1. Ailsa Claire

MoH
1. Ashley Bloomfield

Note:
1. Applicable dates are 1/7/2019 to 10/3/2020
2. Emails include those sent, received or cc'd and include any
attachments."

As this is restricted to emails only between 2 individuals I believe that you should be able to respond promptly.

Yours faithfully,

Shay McGuinness

Dear Shay

Thank you for your request for official information, ref: H202002328
received on 14 April 2020 requesting:

The request as it is currently worded is for a very large volume of
information and may be refused under section 18(f) of the Official
Information Act 1982, because the information requested cannot be made
available without substantial collation or research.  If it is possible
for you to narrow the scope of your request by selecting a shorter time
frame or specifying a topic, we may be able to provide you with
information.

If you wish to discuss this purposed refinement further please feel free
to do so.

Kind regards

Dear Ministry of Health,

I do not believe that you have any grounds to deny or delay responding to this request. As stated this is a much reduced request to my earlier request which you denied citing section 18(f) - your refernce H202001332 and FYI.org:
https://fyi.org.nz/request/12422-communi...

The request is now very targetted and cannot be reduced further without impacting on the purpose of the request which is to highlight the failings in the provision of Air Ambulance Service to the Northern Region.

I expect a comprehensive reply within the original timeframe.

Yours faithfully,

Shay McGuinness
