David Farrar made this Official Information request to Department of Corrections

The request was successful.

From: David Farrar

Dear Department of Corrections,

Thank you for the useful response to my request at https://fyi.org.nz/request/12343-prisone... where you advised there were 1,985 prisoners at 30 November 2019 serving a sentence of less than three years and that their average number of convictions was 50.

This follow up request seeks a breakdown of the 1,985 prisoners by their number of convictions, specifically how many are in each of the following categories:

(1) 10 or fewer convictions
(2) 11 to 25 convictions
(3) 26 to 50 convictions
(4) 50 to 75 convictions
(5) 76 to 100 convictions
(6) 101 - 200 convictions
(7) more than 200 convictions

Many thanks

Yours faithfully,

David Farrar
