Thank you for your email of 28 February 2020 requesting, under the
Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following information:

 

What independent scientific information and prospective market assessments
(eg MBIE,etc) was placed in front of your Independent Advisory Panel and
associated decision making Ministers in regard to Ecolibrium Biologicals
requests for funding from your Ministry?

 

The Minister’s office does not comment to third parties on applications
where an application has been declined by decision makers, where the
applicant has withdrawn the application from the Provincial Growth Fund
(PGF) assessment system, or which are currently under assessment by the
Provincial Development Unit (PDU). This protects commercial information
relating to the applicant and their ability to seek funding elsewhere.

 

Therefore, any information within the scope of your request is withheld
under section 9(2)(b)(ii) of the Act, as it is necessary to protect
information where the making available of the information would be likely
unreasonably to prejudice the commercial position of the person who
supplied or who is the subject of the information.

 

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
the decision to withhold some information. Information about how to make a
