I am writing in regard to your official information request dated 19
February 2020 regarding information regarding University of Otago Alumni
Scholarships.

 

The Official Information Act requires that we provide the information for
your request no later than 20 working days after we received your request
(due 18 March).  Unfortunately, it was not possible to meet that time
limit due to the current Covid-19 situation and I would like to apologise
for this delay.  

 

I am writing to notify you of an extension under section 15A(1) of the
Act.  The extension is due to the time needed to complete consultation in
the preparation of the response. I am thus advising that the response will
now be provided no later than Tuesday 31 March (10 working days).  I have
specified this timeframe to ensure there is sufficient time to prepare the
response under the currently challenging working conditions; however, I
anticipate that I will be able to provide the information in advance of
this date.

 

I note your right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman
about this extension under section 28(3) of the Official Information Act.
