Dear Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment,
I would like to request under the Official Information Act some statistics relating to asylum seekers. I would like to request:
* the number of asylum seekers that New Zealand has received in 2018-19 to 2019-20.
I would like these statistics to be broken down by:
a) The country of nationality or habitual residence of the asylum seeker who applied for Work Visa while their Claims are determined
b) Number of Asylum seekers applied for work visa while there claims are determined.
c) Number of Asylum seekers Granted/Declined work visa while there claims are determined.
d) Average Days( Time Frame) took on Granting or Declining from the date of Applying Work Visa for Asylum Seekers
