On 6 December 2019 you emailed the Ministry requesting, under the Official
Information Act 1982, the following information:

 1. All correspondence between the Chief Executive of MSD and the Chief
Executive of Housing New Zealand regarding the Social Housing Reform
Programme between 2014 and 2017.This may take the form of emails,
papers, reports, memos etc
 2. All reports, briefings, memos, aides mémoire, presentations, minutes,
cabinet papers provided by the Ministry of Social Development to
ministers relating to the Social Housing Reform Programme between 2014
and 2017.

 

The Ministry has decided to grant your request, however, it will take some
time to prepare this information for release. The information will be sent
to you by 8 May 2020.

 

The Ministry will withhold information which relates to the privacy of an
individual under section 9(2)(a) of the Official Information Act. The need
to protect the privacy of these individuals outweighs the public interest
in this information.

 

The contact details of some individuals have been withheld under section
9(2)(k) of the Act in order to reduce the possibility of staff being
exposed to phishing and other scams. This is because information released
under the Act may end up in the public domain, for example, on websites
including the Ministry’s own website.

 

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
[3]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or 0800 802 602.
