Question regarding Physiotherapy Course
A KS made this Official Information request to Auckland University of Technology
The request was partially successful.
From: A KS
Dear Auckland University of Technology,
Few years back, AUT was running a 1 year diploma program for overseas physiotherapists which acted like a bridging course for the students to study about NZ healthcare and physiotherapy practice here. I checked AUT website and cannot find that course being offered any more.
I shall be thankful if you could reply to my following queries
1:- Please tell in which year that diploma started and in which year the diploma was discontinued.
2:- Please provide details of total number or students enrolled and total number of students passed ( per year when course was running).
3:-Please tell ,at the moment, is AUT offering any other similar program in place of the discontinued program ( in which overseas trained and non NZ registered Physios are eligible to enrol.)
4:- Please tell whether AUT has a plan to restart that discontinued program or a similar program in any future academic session as absence of such program is a big loss to overseas trained physiotherapists and indirectly to the NZ healthcare sector.
Thanks in anticipation.
Yours faithfully,
A KS

Hi
I'm sorry but I've been confused by overlapping requests that have some of the same questions - the response was to a request originally made at the end of August.
I now see that you sent a second request in December (below) that asks for additional information - this request will be subject to the OIA requirements and given AUT has been closed over the summer, I estimate we would not be able to respond until 22nd January.
Regards
Alison
