Regarding Course for Overseas Physiotherapists
A KS made this Official Information request to Auckland University of Technology
The request was successful.
From: A KS
Dear Auckland University of Technology,
Few years back, AUT was running a 1 year diploma program for overseas physiotherapists which acted like a bridging course for the students to study about NZ healthcare and physiotherapy practice here. I checked AUT website and cannot find that course being offered any more.
I shall be thankful if you could reply to my following queries
1:- Please tell in which year that diploma started and in which year the diploma was discontinued.
2:-Please tell ,at the moment, is AUT offering any other similar program in place of the discontinued program ( in which overseas trained and non NZ registered Physios are eligible to enrol.)
3:- Please tell whether AUT has a plan to restart that discontinued program or a similar program in any future academic session as absence of such program is a big loss to overseas trained physiotherapists and indirectly to the NZ healthcare sector.
Thanks in anticipation.
Yours faithfully,
A KS
