I wish to make an OIA request for information, which is as follows:

All correspondence received by the Office of the Chancellor and/or Vice Chancellors from Chinese embassy and/consular officials, or their representatives, within the last 45 days which address the protests in Hong Kong and related university events, as well as memos and other written records of any verbal or other representations on the matter

Dear Mr Power,

I refer to your request of 31 July 2019. There has been no contact between Chinese embassy and/or consular officials, or their representatives, and the Office of the Chancellor or Vice-Chancellor. Accordingly, the documents requested do not exist and your request is refused under section 18(e) of the Official Information Act 1982. You have the right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman about this response.
