Hutt City Council
Dear Mr Jones
I refer to your email below.
Just to clarify, there was no earthquake event that affected Naenae pool.
It was inspected and deemed earthquake prone. What this means is that the
building would likely not perform well in the event of a decent
earthquake.
Despite this, Council’s General Manager of Corporate Services, Brent
Kibblewhite, rang Council’s insurers. They confirmed his understanding
that there needed to be an ‘event’ for which Council had suffered a loss,
for an insurance claim to be considered by insurers. This was confirmed
verbally by Councils insurer.
If you require any more assistance, please contact Brent Kibblewhite via
email [1][email address].
Regards
Brad
