I refer to your information request received 6 April 2019, which has been
referred to Legal Services for consideration in accordance with the
provisions of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act
1987 (“the LGOIMA”).

 

Information request

 

You requested the Far North District Council provide:  

 

“information about any correspondence, resource consents, permits,
approvals, or related matters between Council officers and the Police
regarding cannabis control by spraying herbicides. Without limiting the
generality of the foregoing, this would include:

- permissions for Police to spray on Council land

- advising Police or Police contractors that resource consents are not
required “

The information you requested does not exist.  Given this, we must refuse
your request under section 17(e) of the LGOIMA. This states:
