Dear New Zealand Police,
I would like to request the following information under the
Official Information Act 1982:
* how many complaints of Breaches of the Police Code of Conduct
were made against police employees in 2011?
* how many of those complaints were upheld? How many were denied?
How many are still being resolved?
* any statistical breakdown of the most common causes of complaints
and their resolution rate (insofar as that information is held by
police)
* any statistical breakdown of the severity of complaints, and
their resolution rate (insofar as that information is held by
police; if you do not classify complaints by severity, then
obviously you can't answer)
I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about
this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the
fyi.org.nz website.
Yours faithfully,
