Conflicts of Interest Information

Dear Hon John Key,

Under s5F of the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service Act and s9 of the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security Act the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security and the Commissioner of Security Warrants must submit to the Prime Minister written notice of any conflicts of interests they have which could conflict with performance. I would like to request under the Official Information Act:

a) any information about any conflicts of interests that the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security has notified the Prime Minister of under s9
b) any information about any conflicts of interests that the Commissioner of Security Warrants has notified the Prime Minister of under s5F

I would ask that my request not be transferred to either the Commissioner or the Inspector-General as they do not fall under the scope of the Official Information Act, and I believe that the Prime Minister would possess the information (if it exists) due to the legislative requirement that he be notified.
