Briefing paper on contestability
Alex Harris made this Official Information request to The Treasury
The request was partially successful.
From: Alex Harris
Dear The Treasury,
Today the treasury publicly released a number of documents on charter schools (http://www.treasury.govt.nz/publications...). Many of these documents had large areas removed as not relevant to the request. However, from reading the surrounding material and the document titles, it looks like the contents could be quite interesting. I would therefore like to request the following information under the OIA:
* Complete and unredacted copies of all the documents in the Charter Schools release.
Obviously, I expect you to remove material under appropriate withholding grounds to protect privacy, free and frnak advice etc. But since I'm after complete copies of the documents, there shouldn't be anything marked as "not relevant to request".
I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.
With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ.
Yours faithfully,
Alex Harris
From: Alex Harris
Dear The Treasury,
According to FYI, a response to this request was due on 12 February. Will I be receiving one soon, or do I have to go to the ombudsman?
Yours faithfully,
Alex Harris
