New Zealand and the SDGs

Stephan Rupp made this Official Information request to Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade

The request was refused by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

From: Stephan Rupp

Dear Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade,

A committee of 5 researchers under the umbrella of the 11 National Science Challenges (NSC) has been given the task of preparing a white paper on possible linkages between the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and New Zealand’s National Science Challenges.
As part of this white paper, we are currently reviewing New Zealand’s commitments to the SDGs. I would appreciate if you could give us some information on how MFAT is addressing the SDGs. In particular, we would be interested in

• New Zealand’s commitments to the SDGs
• How progress is measured and on what timeframe
• Who is responsible for their deliveries
I would appreciate if you could furnish us with this information as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully,
Stephan Rupp
