Immigration New Zealand - Residence Statistics

Ryan S made this Official Information request to Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment

The request was successful.

From: Ryan S

Dear Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment,

I'm looking into Residence in New Zealand and saw a previous request earlier in the year and wanted to further it

Could you please provide the following information

1. How many Residence Applications were Approved, Declined and Withdrawn in each Residence Category for the period of July 1 2016 - 30 June 2017

2. Could you please provide the occupation codes approved under the skilled migrant category for July 1 2016 - 30 June 2017 for each office that processes residence (Please separate each office and give it's individual statistics for approval of each job code)

3. Could you please provide the occupation codes declined under the skilled migrant category for July 1 2016 - 30 June 2017 for each office that processes residence (Please separate each office and give it's individual statistics for approval of each job code)

4. If possible, could you provide the number of withdrawn decisions in skilled migrant for the period of July 1 2016 - 30 June 2017 for each office that processes residence (Please separate each office and give it's individual statistics)

5. If possible, could you provide the number of declined decisions in skilled migrant for the period of July 1 2016 - 30 June 2017 for each office that processes residence (Please separate each office and give it's individual statistics)

5. Could you please provide the reasons for decline in skilled migrant for the period of July 1 2016 - 30 June 2017 for each office that processes residence. (I understand you can be declined for things like not speaking English so I assume that the ministry keeps track of that stuff)

Yours faithfully,

Ryan S

As an idle bystander and casual reader of this website I thought I might ask have you tried https://www.immigration.govt.nz/about-us... ? If it provides the answers you are looking for might be better than waiting the obligatory 40 days.

Hey G.Reed

Thanks for that information but I'm specifically after the difference between the INZ offices, I've been told by my friends that the office you end up at can effect your outcome. My local office (Chch) might be more harsh on specific codes than say the wellington office. This could be reflected in the information I've requested.
