Request Regarding the top dispensed drugs/most expensive drugs for 2016
Sam Wagener made this Official Information request to Pharmaceutical Management Agency
The request was successful.
From: Sam Wagener
Dear Pharmaceutical Management Agency,
My name is Sam Wagener, I am writing to request. under the official information act, the following information if it is available:
- The top 100 dispensed drugs in New Zealand for 2016 (All strengths of the same medicine counted as one, e.g. Metoprolol 23.75, 47.5 etc would just be Metoprolol)
- The top 100 most expensive drugs (by how much money was paid in subsidies for the drug, not just the price of drug as listed in the schedule.)
If this information is not yet available then the 2015 information would also suit and once the 2016 information came through if that could be sent as well.
I hope this request is not too arduous and I understand commercial sensitivity concerns and as such would be fine with brand names being excluded (in fact I would prefer generic names.)
Yours faithfully,
Sam Wagener
