WorkSafe New Zealand

Dear Harrison

Thank you for your query of 13 November 2016 for:

- the certificates of examination for the amusement devices owned by Mahons Amusements.
- the certificates of examination for the amusement devices located at Rainbow's End

I've been advised by our Certifications Team that there are 70 device certificates that would need to be reviewed and redactions made under privacy grounds in accordance with the Official Information Act (the Act). It is estimated each certificate would take approximately an hour to process. Are you able to narrow the scope of your request? For example to a particular type of device. As your request stands we would likely refuse it under 18(f) of the Act, on the grounds that to make the information available would entail substantial collation and research, or seek to charge you for this information.  Please advise.

Kind regards

Catherine Seddon

Kia ora Harrison

Please find attached a response letter from WorkSafe New Zealand regarding
your OIA request for “certificates of registration for Mahons Amusements
and Rainbows End” subsequently refined to “thrill ride” certificates for
the operators. Unfortunately the documents are too large to email. Could
you please provide us with a physical address to send the certificates
to.  You can email us at [1][WorkSafe New Zealand request email] or alternatively use the
contact telephone number included in the response letter.

Regards
